The Curatify browser extension ("the Extension") allows you to save the current browser tab as a bookmark to your Curatify account. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses, what it sends, and how it is used.

Data Collected

1. Current Page URL and Title

When you open the Extension popup, it reads the URL and title of your active browser tab. This information is pre-filled into the save form for your convenience. When you submit the form, the URL, title, and any notes you add are sent to Curatify and saved to your account.

This data is sent only to your Curatify account and is not shared with any third party.

1. Session Cookie

The Extension uses the existing session cookie set by your Curatify account to authenticate your requests.

It does not read, store, or transmit your password or any other credentials. The session cookie is managed entirely by the browser.

1. Extension Preferences

The Extension stores your selected default list locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage (browser.storage.local). This preference never leaves your device.

Data Not Collected

The Extension does not:

Track your browsing history
Run in the background or monitor any activity when the popup is closed
Collect analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics
Share any data with third parties
Store any data on external servers beyond what you explicitly submit to your Curatify account

Data Retention

Any data you save through the Extension is stored in your Curatify account, subject to the Curatify platform's own privacy policy and data retention practices. You can delete saved bookmarks at any time from within the Curatify application.

Your local extension preference (default list selection) can be cleared by removing the Extension from your browser.

Third-Party Services

The Extension communicates solely with the Curatify server instance configured in the extension (e.g. curatify.co.uk). No data is sent to any other third-party service.
