On some systems, the scrollbar colors may be overridden by the operating system itself. In that case, there is a setting that can be disabled in Firefox to allow the Custom Scrollbars add-on to change the colors. Also since i use fully transparent scrollbar track color there are some websites like EGS where the scrollbar track is plain white for some reasonResposta do programador

Unfortunately, there are some websites (Twitch is a good example) that have taken scrollbars a step further. Instead of using an actual scrollbar, these websites have designed custom components that look and behave similar to scrollbars, but they are fully custom. Since these are not actually considered "scrollbars" by the browser, it's not currently possible for me to make any modifications to these scrollbars.
As for the transparency issue, some websites have not set the background of the page (meaning it stays white) and instead have a large panel that they have set to be the width of the screen. The width of the screen does not include the scrollbar, so the white background hiding below shows through. Much like the issue above, there's no way for me to fix these either. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 17266125 , há 3 anos

publicado a há 3 anosHi James. Sorry to hear you had issues with the add-on.
As far as the scrollbar buttons go, currently Firefox only supports limited scrollbar customizations. That only includes colors and very limited width settings. As Firefox adds more features (which I hope they do), I will be able to add more functionality.
As for no visible changes being shown, it's important to note that there are some pages the add-on cannot make changes to. These mainly include internal browser pages (settings, etc.) and pages that are generated by other add-ons. - Fonctionne bien sous Firefox 95. J'ai toutefois un problème sur le site :
https://www.casino.fr/ecommerce/GC-catalog/fr/WE64853/?moderetrait=Z4
Resposta do programador
publicado a há 3 anosBonjour! A feature that allows users to disable the add-on on specific websites is on my to-do list.
In the meantime, perhaps you can use website rules to give that website a specific scrollbar appearance. For more information, see: https://github.com/WesleyBranton/Custom-Scrollbar/wiki/Using-website-rules - Avaliado em 5 de 5por ༺{Beau Peep}༻ , há 3 anosEffective simplicity!
Just for solving the (ie, my personal) essential necessity of a visible scrollbar, I gave it 5*s, option to customize colours add an extra plus: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐➕. - Avaliado em 4 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 14582649 , há 3 anos

publicado a há 3 anosSadly, the narrow scrollbars is easily the more common feedback I get. I hope that the Firefox developers allow more customization options in the near future. Resposta do programador
publicado a há 3 anosUnfortunately, Firefox only supports very limited scrollbar customization at the moment. I hope that changes in the future so that I can add more functionality for Firefox users.- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Implausible Feloniousness , há 4 anosIt helps a lot at some websites, where I have problems in finding the current position of scrollbar. I set colors to higher contrast and always can see it.
- Works great for what it does. However, when trying to set the scrollbar to the left side of the screen with layout.scrollbar.side = 3 it causes the scrollbar to return to default. It would be nice to have a left side scrollbar, though I'm not sure what's at fault here. Great nonetheless.

publicado a há 4 anosGlad to hear that you like the add-on. I've tested that setting on Windows and everything seems to be working properly. It could possibly be a platform-specific issue. If you could email me your operating system and Firefox version to addons@wesleybranton.com, I'd be happy to try and look into that issue. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por caitmuenster , há 4 anos

publicado a há 4 anosGlad to hear that you like the add-on. I haven't had a chance to update the wiki page with information about why that new permission is required. I'm probably going to update that document later on today.
In short, this has to do with some adjustments that were made to make the add-on work properly for content that is embedded within other websites. Some older versions of Firefox will not share information about what websites are open unless they have that permission. Unfortunately, I can't apply the permission only to those versions of Firefox that need it, so I have to add that permission for every very of Firefox.
I plan on posting a more detailed explanation to the permissions page: https://github.com/WesleyBranton/Custom-Scrollbar/wiki/About-Permissions
