First video I tried to download on YT: instant error. Can't parse link. This extension is garbage.

It would have been four stars, except I keep being nagged to leave a fucking review after every download. Right now, it's 2. If it ends up as a one-star, it's because the message doesn't go away.

Downloaded a file, loaded it onto a USB stick, and played it on my parents DVD player (which is not connected to the internet!). Not sure what the recent one star review claiming the extension merely streamed the video was on about! That certainly wasn't my experience.

Quite simply, it lies about what it's doing. Try playing one of its video files without an internet connection and it makes the issue obvious. The only thing this is doing is creating a file that will enable you to stream the video from where it is hosted. If the host moves or deletes the file? Useless. If the host modifies the file? You lose access to the older copy you thought you had.

This level of misrepresentation should be taken as active deception.
