Great extension. I use it to download tutorials in 720p quality, so I can play them offline - which is much faster for scrubbing timeline than online streamed videos.

I've tried many youtube download extensions and this is the best. I think it's worth donating a few dollars to the plugin author, since it does require work to keep up with code changes on Youtube's side. If I ever need 1080p downloads, I will happily buy the pro version.

Only works for SD or lower videos. I'd just use Y-Music via an android emulator, or through your phone of course.

I've been using this add-on for a long time..and , to me.. it is the only reliable YouTube video downloader out there..
Kudos on the developers as ..dealing with YouTube's policies and code is not a wall in the park.

easy to use and rarely fails

It works pretty well. Unfortunately, HD (720p) and more require server processing on the part of the addon's developpers (Youtube having split up sound and video), hence a paid license.
NOTE TO THE AUTHOR(s): a feature allowing to download both files anyways would be nice (without the requirement of server processing on your side): I have tools for merging and converting those files myself locally via an Open Source program.
