Awesome addon, but the dependency on the external fraidyc.at domain feels really unnecessary and kind of invasiv. When that's been fixed, i'll gladly update my rating to 5 stars.

O.M.G!! I stumbled across this Cloudhiker a few days ago & it could be in my top 5 Extensions. Have only used it for a few days but so far, it is is a superb way to keep track of friends, colleagues, fave actor/musician anyone from Twitter, IG, FB etc and all in one simple feed that you can read on further after 1 click. Love it!!

I was surprised and felt deluded to find out that Fraidycat is an online service and that all its interface, user’s data and settings are transferred and function on the addon’s website (fraidyc.at) and not on the addon’s local address (moz-extension://…)

That fact should be mentioned, ideally in the first place, in the mozilla’s addon’s page and description,

even if there are the performance issues which the author quotes in the issue #210 of the addon’s support page, which I also afterwards read.

A wonderful addon that both unlocks the world of RSS feeds, and allows me to avoid signing up for twitter. The organisation is great, too - I like being able to see every new word from the infrequent posters while just occasionally checking what the terminally-online people I follow have gotten up to lately.

This is so good, and I'm soo close to just making Fraidycat my start page, and stop using Feedly or what have you. Any day now.

Achieves its goal of bringing back some of the best of the old web. I find it really helpful in following people and places rather than sifting through aggregators. This (for me at least) lets me go narrower and deeper in my engagement with the web. I find myself checking content through Fraidycat more purposefully and puts me in a better frame of mind for getting value out of my browsing.
