I would like to suggest a new feature. Is it possible to set different playback speeds for each video individually?
Currently, if I change the speed on one video, it seems to affect others. I want each video to maintain its own speed setting. For example, when playing two YouTube videos simultaneously, I’d like to keep one (music) at 1x speed while watching the other at 1.5x speed.

If that's not possible, it’s still perfectly fine as it is. Thank you for all your hard work!

Please disable this extension for youtube music. I have to go back to youtube to reset speed.

It works, but I’d love to have actual buttons for scrolling up and down, instead of having to rely only on the mouse wheel or the keyboard. It’s just a 'me problem', but it would be more comfortable for me that way.

when I first added this add-on, I was confused why it isn't working, the extension is grayed out like the other reviewer said, and there being no options menu

Extension is greyed out for me in the extensions menu and scrolling on the speedometer button in youtube does nothing; though clicking it does reset the speed to normal if I change the speed through the youtube menu like normal

It's ok. I get it mixed with my left/right arrows a lot so that I think I'm moving forward or backward, but I'm actually changing the speed instead. I removed it because it sits so near the bottom of the screen that I keep accidentally moving out of it altogether when I mouse over the speed control.

It works, it's not technically bad, but it's just too simple to be practically useful.

For any but the simplest conceivable use case, an extension like this needs to track speed separately per open video/per tab, and should revert to a base value on opening a new tab. This one doesn't seem able to do either.

It also causes an issue when viewing YT Shorts, as it uses the last set speed, but neither this extension nor YT itself provide a speed control. It needs to either disable itself or provide a speed control, in this case.

Does the job well! Just a suggestion for the dev to update the app for the new UI change on youtube which has misaligned the speedup icon in the player.

It’s good, I use it all the time, so much quicker to change speed than default way.

But when an ad comes up it resets speed to 100% again. If I change the speed with the normal YT changer it will not reset. Is there any way to fix that please?..

I'm using these 2 add-ons to deal with YT ads:

YouTube Ad Auto-skipper
Mute Youtube ads

- and I thought it was maybe one of those doing it but I turned them off and it still did it.

So there must be something different about the way this add-on changes the speed compared to the default YT way that is causing the issue.

UPDATE 2025.10.09. - Now when changing the speed it effects all videos that are in other tabs/windows too >.< Cringe...
Please fix that, so it effects each tab separately and defaults to 100% when going to a new tab.

Simple and effective

Very simple but very handy.
To control speed hover over icon(left near Autoplay icon) and scroll the mouse middle button. To reset to normal speed just click left mouse button on icon. Fantastic! ))
