This extension works great, particularly with the configurable keybinds to control speed, and to seek.

One of my favourite features is the ability for this extension to affect advertisements in youtube.

My most common use for this extension and the reason for downloading it is to speed up videos past 2x speed (most commonly to watch lectures at 4x speed).

However, on my M2 MacBook running Sonoma 14.3.1, Firefox version 123.0, this extension often takes up 2-7GB of RAM. This is not an issue on my Windows 10 PC. I'd assume this is due to a bug causing the video cache to not be cleared often enough.

Be careful.... All I wanted was to Draw on the page (which it seems to do well) , but I didn't realize it would control the volume on Youtube, online radio-Listen Live. First slower than I wanted, then faster. . Confused me greatly. Maybe I should have figured it out faster but it wasted an hour or two of my time, and could have wasted much more. I didn't appreciate what "Apply a default speed for all video and audio." really meant. Didn't realize "compatible" meant it would do so to everything without asking me for each source. Why would anyone want all sources to be either slowed or speeded up? More details following that line would be very helpful.

Hello! Sorry for the confusion. To optimize for just using the draw on page feature, you can go to the options page and delete all shortcuts that aren't relevant, and then turn off Global Speed through the menu. You can then activate the draw on page feature when you need it, and the rest of the functionality won't get in the way.
