postat la 10 luni în urmăHi and thanks a lot for your rating. I'm sorry that the extension is not working as expected for you. As far as I understand, you cannot see the extension icon and you want to download the QR code.
So as for the first issue, you are right, your browser should have a colorful icon. See the video here for an example on how to use it: https://github.com/rugk/offline-qr-code/blob/master/assets/screencasts/qrText.gif
If you cannot see it, it may be shown in the extension menu, where you can also pin it to the toolbar menu. See https://support.mozilla.org/kb/extensions-button for more explanation.
Apart from that, you are correct Ctrl+Shift+F10 is the default (though configurable) hotkey, as described in the add-on description and Readme on GitHub.
Note you can also open the QR code via various other ways as a context-menu e.g. when right-clicking on links.
As for the second issue, here is how you can save the image as SVG or PNG: https://github.com/rugk/offline-qr-code/wiki/FAQ#how-to-save-the-qr-code-on-disk
The thing is Firefox recently changed how such a menu icon would be shown by an extension and introduced the extension menu/button. There is no way for the extension to change this, you need to manually adjust, which extensions you want to show there. Note this applies to all extensions, however.
It would be glad if you could upgrade your voting to 5 stars if that solves your problem.
If you have further issues or questions, please feel free to get in touch by opening an issue on https://github.com/rugk/offline-qr-code/issues. Thanks.
Best regards,
rugk

However, I see your point of not liking the random tips beings shown.
I can reassure you the likelihood to see such a prompt is very low though and e.g. only shown after you have used the extension for some time and e.g. not shown again if you have dismissed it explicitly twice.
As this add-on is open-source, you can also check it's source code at https://github.com/rugk/offline-qr-code/blob/main/src/common/modules/data/Tips.js, if you are interested in the technical details or want to verify my claims here.
Also notice there are other helpful tips that may occasionally been shown, but they are really kept to a minimum and many users do e.g. not know that they can use a hot key or help the extension by translating it.
I am afraid this has disturbed you and want to apologise.
Let us know if this helped by adjusting your voting.
Apart from that, if you have any other ideas or issues, feel free to get in touch.

EDIT: thanks to rugk for pointing me to an article about my problem, it was solved, upgrading to 5 stars 🤗Răspunsul dezvoltatoruluipostat la 8 luni în urmăThanks for your rating. It's great to hear that you like the add-on. 😀
As you correctly noticed, you can access the extension with the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F10 by default. This hotkey can already be modified in the Firefox add-on settings. See https://support.mozilla.org/kb/manage-extension-shortcuts-firefox for more information.
It would be glad if you could upgrade your voting to 5 stars if that solves your problem.

- Evaluat(ă) cu 5 din 5 stelede Utilizator Firefox 17707791, 9 luni în urmăWorks great, does what it says on the tin, accessible through the toolbar or right click, longer urls don't look as nice visually imo, but I think that's just a consequence of the qr format. Going into the settings and reducing the "error correction level" does help with this.
- Evaluat(ă) cu 5 din 5 stelede newmomizi (JP), 9 luni în urmăシンプルだが機能は十分。クライアントJavaScriptのみでQRコードが生成されるのは明確なメリットでしょう。
