Could you please tell me how to add a search engine using payload of JSON or XML format?

I am not sure what this means. You can see the documentation at: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/OpenSearch. "application/x-suggestions+json" can be used for suggestions when entering you search query. In general we can only support what Firefox supports.
