It's somewhat small and gives a flicker. The github repo hadn't been updated for a long time. Shame!

I notice that the files for the extension contain 128 and 48 sized throbbers. Is it not possible enable using a larger image?

Amazingly, this extension still works with firefox 74.0 Would be even better if you could make the animation bigger, say 32x32 but I'll take what I can get. Goes great with my retro Win95 themed Mate linux desktop.

I customized my entire Firefox to look like Netscape. I found an amazing theme that goes really well with this extension. I also changed the browser icon.

Works fine for me in FF 62; though there is a little flickering in the animation.
I like to have that "N" animation in the corner of my browser window, remembering the good old days :)
