The opening of the speeddial page at the start of the application does not work well. Most often, just a white screen and an infinite update icon. Opening a new tab helps in this situation. Maybe because a slow computer.

This is a Firefox bug, see these:

Right now it affects only some PC. Also note that I've created special option in the Options page / General / "When Firefox starts, open dials page" which should help in most cases.
However the real fix needs to come from Firefox team.
