Slick! Was needing to replace pdfit as it doesn't work with Quantum. Current need is capturing a thread on Nextdoor (which pdf it did reasonably well in the past and which Chrome makes a hash of).

Print Friendly & PDF stripped out so much stuff the result was useless.

Given the name, PDF Mage, I expected to be stuck with an image PDF that would then have to be run through an OCR processor. But NO!! This nifty plugin OCR'd the entire page AND captured all links-under-text.

This is just a single-use review, but am VERY HAPPY.

Running 100% on Waterfox 56.0 64-bit, so convenient with a single click and the result always an exact representation of the site. BTW no adverts at all.

Easy to use, but loses some of the original formatting. Using FF57 on Windows.

Error reading current page: chrome.browserAction.setBadgeBackgroundColor is not a function

It does fail every once in a while, but compared to all the other web-to-pdf extensions that embed their logos and ads everywhere - this one is perfect!

The downvoters just amaze me :) The front page of this addon explicitly states that it sends the entire content of your web pages over the internet in order to create a PDF, and still some people complain about privacy issues, athors lying about something or possible scam.
If you are afraid that the websites you visit are of any interest to whoever you think might look through them - just don't use this addon. As simple as that.
For me it works like a charm. It gets the job done, and that's the most important thing for me.

Never worked really that good and now works 2 out of 10 times!!! Don't waste your time on this one; looking for a replacement now!!!

Does not function without web access.
In my only try it don't work. I stop it after waiting some seconds.

Fait ce qu'on lui demande. Le plus aurait été de ne pas mettre les pubs sur les pages, alors qu'elles sont bloquées et que nous on ne les vois pas...... De faire juste une image de la page quoi. Mais bon c'est pas mal. Comme il les ouvre en PDF dans un nouveau lien, on peux visualiser puis enregistrer et/ou imprimer.

No way to define the place where the addon puts the pdf file (you find it in the temp file of your user folder on c:/, great if you try to keep your SSD fast and spacious... :( ), all other points have been made here by others.

Will purge that thing now.

The creator lies in the description and this add-on is a massive privacy risk.

It actually uses the instance of the site that's in your own browser, snapshots that into a PDF, uploads this PDF to PDF Mage's own server as publicly accessible content and you can't delete it afterwards. All this without any previous notice or any consent from the user. This add-on is a scam, don't use it.

pro : it makes pdf of any webpage

cons :
1 no preview before pdf.
2. it shrink pages into 1 page, so page is not readable.
3. it dont support hindi font. it turn other font (hindi) into english font.

PDFMage nutze ich als Screenshot Tool und es macht alles, was ich benötige. Folgenden Punkte könnten verbessert werden:
- Angabe der URL: am besten auf einer separaten Seite, oder in den Einstellungen als Option anwählbar
- Öffnen der Einstellungen vor jedem Speichern: am besten in den Einstellungen als Option anwählbar
- Skalieren von Formel auf Textgröße. Wenn ich die Seite "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reynolds_number" speicher, erscheinen im PDF Dokument die Formeln im Vergleich zur Testgröße deutlich kleiner als auf dem Bildschirm

This addon works well enough if you are very undemanding. You can't customize the document, before it is created. The built-in PDF printer in Linux is more versatile in this regard. And this addon exhibits the typical Web -> PDF conversion errors: content consumes the whole paper page, i.e. no margin and page breaks cause funny text breaks. Just another example of how insufficient the paper model is in the digital age. My suggestion: ditch it and just save the web page (Ctrl+S).

Edit: Web page content is sent to pdfmage.org. They promise to delete documents after 10 minutes. A privacy policy is missing.

This is the best addons!
There is one minus:
- does not save the URL in the document pdf.
It needs to be done.

No keyboard shortcut? firefox pdfit has alt+3, chrome has ctrl-p. If this add-on is about ease of use, please consider adding a keyboard shortcut option. I also would like to know what kind of data gets collected. I mean you know what pdf/info/webpages i view/save. This information is useless unless is tied to an identity. Please clarify or site a resource for privacy statement. TU!
