Version 1.0.1 — Bug Fix Release



This release focuses on stability and detection accuracy. The extension was not functioning correctly on first install — all critical issues have been resolved.



Bug Fixes

• Fixed: Extension failed to detect Shopify stores — Headless/custom stores were incorrectly shown as "Not a Shopify Store." Detection now uses a multi-signal approach with a live endpoint probe as
  fallback.
• Fixed: Stuck at "Fetching Products…" — A double-fetch bug caused the loading state to hang indefinitely. Products now load correctly and timeouts are handled gracefully.
• Fixed: Currency not detected — Currency is now extracted from JSON-LD structured data, Open Graph meta tags, and visible price elements, in addition to the existing Shopify JS check.
• Fixed: Store Country not detected — Country is now inferred from the store's locale (e.g. en-US → US, en-GB → GB) when not available via Shopify's API.
• Fixed: Product count showing 0 — When a store's product endpoint is blocked or unavailable, the count now correctly shows as unavailable rather than 0.
• Fixed: Browser API errors — Resolved browser.tabs is undefined errors caused by the panel running as an injected iframe. All restricted APIs are now routed through the background service worker.
• Improved: Fetch timeouts — Increased from 10s to 15s to reduce false timeout failures on slower stores.
