Politică de confidențialitate pentru Yet Another Linkwarden Extension
Yet Another Linkwarden Extension de Emerson Veenstra
Privacy Policy
Yet Another Linkwarden Extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the extension developer or any third party controlled by the developer.
Data stored locally
The following data is stored exclusively in your browser's local extension storage (storage.local) and never leaves your device except as described below:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Linkwarden instance URL | Identifies which Linkwarden server to connect to |
| Linkwarden access token | Authenticates requests to your Linkwarden instance |
| Kagi session token | Authenticates requests to Kagi's summarizer (optional) |
| Cached tags and collections | Speeds up popup load time by avoiding a round-trip on every open |
You can clear all stored data at any time by removing the extension.
Network requests
The extension makes network requests only to services you have explicitly configured:
- Your Linkwarden instance — to read and write your saved links, tags, and collections. No data is sent to the Linkwarden cloud service unless you have configured
https://cloud.linkwarden.appas your instance. - Kagi (
https://kagi.com) — only if you have entered a Kagi session token and choose to use the Kagi summarizer. The current page URL is sent to Kagi's summarizer API to generate a description.
No requests are ever made to servers controlled by the extension developer.
Browser permissions
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
|
storage | Saves your settings and tag/collection cache locally ||
tabs | Reads the URL and title of the current tab to pre-fill the save form ||
scripting | Reads page meta tags for description generation; reads page text for Firefox AI summarization ||
host_permissions (<all_urls>) | Checks whether the current page is already saved in your Linkwarden instance; required to make authenticated requests to any configured Linkwarden instance URL ||
trialML (optional, Firefox only) | Runs an on-device AI model to generate link descriptions; requested only when you choose the "Firefox AI" generator |Tab URL access
The extension reads the URL and title of the active tab when you open the popup or when you navigate to a new page (to check whether it is already saved and to update the toolbar badge). This information is sent only to your configured Linkwarden instance and, if you choose, to Kagi. It is not stored beyond the cached check described above.
Omnibox
When you type the
lw keyword in the address bar, your search query is sent to your configured Linkwarden instance to retrieve matching links. It is not stored or transmitted anywhere else.Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published in the extension's repository alongside the release that introduces the change.
