YouTube Shorts Upload Date adds a small, unobtrusive overlay to YouTube Shorts that shows when a Short was uploaded as YT Shorts interface doesn't normally display upload stats/dates. This uses public info to present it in an interactive GUI

YouTube’s Shorts interface does not normally display upload dates. This extension retrieves the publicly available metadata for the current Short and presents it clearly alongside the video, so you can quickly see how recent the content is without leaving the Shorts view.

Features:
- Shows the original upload date for YouTube Shorts
- Displays the age of the Short (for example, “3 days ago”)
- Color-coded indicator for quick visual context (may be some issues)
- Automatically updates as you scroll between Shorts
- Works without tracking, data collection or needing any account!!

Privacy: NO DATA EXCHANGED
- Does not collect, store, or transmit personal data
- Runs entirely in your browser
- Only reads the current YouTube page to display information already published by YouTube

Notes:
- Some Shorts may not expose an upload date due to YouTube limitations (age-restricted or special formats)
- Designed to be lightweight and unobtrusive
