BigConverter Browser Extension - Privacy Policy

This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

What the extension does:
When you click the BigConverter toolbar icon, click the injected "MP3 / MP4" button on a YouTube page, or use the right-click "Convert with BigConverter" menu, the extension reads the URL of the active tab and opens a new tab on https://en.bigconverter.com with that URL as a query parameter.

What the extension does NOT do:
- No analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind.
- No reading of page content, cookies, history, bookmarks, or form data.
- No data stored locally other than transient settings (none in this version).
- No data sent to any server from the extension itself.
- No third-party scripts loaded by the extension.

Third-party service:
The conversion is performed by the BigConverter website (https://en.bigconverter.com), which is a separate service governed by its own privacy policy at https://en.bigconverter.com/privacy. The extension only opens a tab to that site with the YouTube URL - it does not transmit any other data.

Permissions explained:
- activeTab - read the URL of the YouTube tab only when you click the extension.
- tabs —-open the BigConverter site in a new tab when you click Convert.
- contextMenus - add the "Convert with BigConverter" right-click option.
- storage - reserved for future user settings; not used in this version.
- Host permissions on YouTube domains - required to inject the Convert button into YouTube pages.
