размещено 7 лет назадYou can look at the code (either at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/ of you can download the xpi-file, change the extension to zip and look at the content). It does not store any private information or sends anything to a server.
UPDATE: I just realized I did not answer the question. The addon does not need access to login information (and does not use it). But there is no techical difference between the information the addon needs access to (the canvas and JS that are used for fingerprinting) and other information. I would gladly only take the permission to access the information that I only need - it's just not possible.

is there a way to fix this, without having to turn canvasblocker off each time?
or even better: can i block or unblock each element separately, until i find the culprit? (the way "NoScript" addon visualized this is very beginner userfriendly)

- Оценено на 2 из 5от blackSP, 3 месяца назадChecked before and after installing/activating this extension trying all profiles and see zero improvement in my identification score on several fingerprinting sites like coveryourtracks.eff.org and amiunique.org. Benefit of the doubt after reading dev's comment that it works anyway. Can't find any proof of that though.

размещено 3 месяца назадYou need to check the details of the fingerprinting sites. Depending on your settings you can have a unique fingerprint - but this is not a bad thing if it changes: https://canvasblocker.kkapsner.de/faq/#uniqueFingerprint
