GitHub Stack Viewer does not collect analytics, sell personal information, or
send information to advertising or analytics services.


The extension handles a GitHub personal access token supplied by the user. It
stores the token locally using Firefox extension storage and sends it only to
the GitHub API (api.github.com) to authenticate requests.

When viewing a GitHub pull request, the extension sends the repository owner,
repository name, pull request number, and related branch names to the GitHub
API. It uses the returned repository and pull request metadata solely to find
and display relationships between stacked pull requests.


The GitHub token remains in local browser storage until the user replaces it,
clears it through the extension, removes the extension, or clears the relevant
browser data. Repository metadata may be cached temporarily in memory to reduce
GitHub API requests and is not retained after the extension's background
process ends.


GitHub processes requests made to its API under GitHub's own privacy terms.
GitHub Stack Viewer does not transmit information to any other third party.
