Works, but the fact that it saves sessions to bookmarks is annoying. That Interferes with managing your bookmarks, because you never know if you actually bookmarked a page, or if it's buried somewhere in saved sessions. Session Manager, I miss you!
EDIT: In reply to the dev's comment: I recommend you listen what people say. I did read the description, I knew that it was going to save to favorites, but I still don't like it that it does that.

The addon will let you create sessions with titles and restore them to the current tab or a new window. It does this pretty well.
I tried this out as an alternative to "session manager" which is no longer support in FF 57+. Unfortunately this extension does not have an import feature for "session manager", or have folders to group sessions.
The UI and usability could do with some refinement as well.

In reply to developer: How can you import from session manager if it does not support folders for sessions? Does it dump them all into 1 list?

1. I would like to be able to automatically open the last used tabs when logging in (Firefox on start).

2. Delete the selected ones (backups) at once and I would like delete all of them at the same time.

Although I like the idea of saving the session, doing this via bookmark is basically duplicating a bookmark. ie I had one site bookmarked 19 times. Surely, there has to be a better way than duplicating bookmarks.

Update: I had to uninstall the addon, it makes no sense duplicating bookmarks. Besides I want to save the session, not bookmark it. I understand that's it's intended purpose. But having multiple copies of each bookmark is more trouble than it's worth. A better way, if it were even possible would be to update the same bookmark, but creating and duplicating hundreds of bookmarks that you never wanted in the first place seems counter intuitive.

I only think, that tabs from "private browsing" shouldn't be saved (auto bookmarked) or at least there should be option to disable it for private windows.
Besides that, it's currently the best available session manager :-)

Am I missing something? Because AFAICT you either have to manually press the 'Save the session' button or set auto-save to 5 minutes (not recommended).

Seems to work pretty well. It might be one of the only session managers out there that actually works!

I hope this extension lets users choose which session to restore. I am instaLLing it because of the pop-up windows which get closed at the end of the session and then i cannot see any of the previously open tabs.
PS. Today I had 7 useful tabs in Firefox, and then I closed the main window. After that I found another window with some site which opened in the background. After closing that separate window, all my 7 useful tabs were wasted.
I would like to avoid losing tabs in this way in the future, and that is why I am installing your extension.
Also, I hope it has autosaving, because I will not save sessions. I just forget about it when I read all those 7 tabs.

I'm looking for a replacement for 'session manager' in Firefox Quantum and I've downloaded this addon among others to test it. The main problem for me is the lack of search functionality. I have read the reviews and the developer's response to this problem is, basically, to laugh at the suggestion and say that nobody has asked for it. I have not bothered asking for it because I have discarded the addon. Each one uses the addons in a particular, sometimes unique way. I read with perplexity the response to a user about his suggestion of a search engine: the developer brags about having 300 tabs (or 1000) in a window and never having needed a search functionality. The interesting thing about working as a developer is that your code is thought for something and users end up using it for what they really need. The more users, the more different uses. I do not think it's a good idea to mock the suggestions of your users. Or brag about having 300 or 1000 tabs in a window.

Didn't saved all tabs and when it was called to do it's job it return duplicated disordered tabs. A f'd up mess. Awful!!!

Waste of time: Useless

- Layout is ass backward. How many of you are clicking on the Session Name link opening the entire session thinking some other action would happen? Great, now instead of the 10 tabs I already have open, I now have 30.
- No Search functionality. Tried requesting this but developer wonders why anyone would want to search for a specific tab instead of going through each tab in what might be 50+ saved sessions to find it..lol. That in a nutshell says it all.
- Just realized that upon FF update, this app defaults back to the original 10 Saved Sessions. Where are my other 70 sessions? Ridiculous!

Bottom line: Passable but obviously a lot of issues. And with Developers attitude and ego as evidenced in remarks, good luck getting acknowledgement of issues and all important solutions.

To get better, MySessions, Tab Session Manager, Session Manager, Tab Mix Plus and other session managers needs some APIs to be prepared:

MySessions works properly on my FF 57 and I find it particularly useful that I could import old sessions.
But the fact that sessions are stored in the form of regular bookmarks inside the normal bookmaks file makes the addon conflict with normal usage of bookmarks and bookmark tools. I search or filter my bookmarks and the contents of this addon's folders are displayed as well.
Just now I encountered this with bookmarks-manager (https://add0n.com/bookmarks-manager.html) which displays whether the currently active tab has already been bookmarked. As soon as MySessions has made a backup seemingly it has - but not intentionally by the user.
Could this addon write it's data to a separate file?

Ok, finally I can restore previous sessions, but there is still one problem, when I restore a session, it reloads all my tabs!!! I have sessions with a lot of tabs, more than 400 tabs!!! If I restore a session with that many tabs it will eventually crash Firefox with huge load on memory!!!
Can you please have an option to restore tabs but unloaded or like the previous restore state for each tab?!
