The vast majority of dislikes are fake. You can tell it's biased too cause you can see live political videos start out with 1k+ dislikes, but then you can watch the likes go up in real time, but the dislikes don't move

Dislikes are updated with a delay. (5-15 minutes). There's caching involved.
