    • Fix the account, charging, orders and campaigns pages landing on the "what is an anonymous token" page instead of the account, and signing in, creating a key and redeeming a voucher offering to start over for an account that already existed — all with anonymous tokens switched on. MetaGer moved the whole key process from the keyserver to /konto, /preise, /anmelden, /schluessel-erstellen and /c, and the rule attaching the real key still only knew the old /keys address
    • Fix "Abmelden" on the account page itself not logging this extension out. The account page has its own logout link, separate from the one in the site menu that already worked, and it was not on the list of logout links this extension recognizes
    • Fix "Set up your MetaGer key" in the settings page going nowhere right after logging out while an anonymous token is still active. It always linked to the startpage's explainer anchor, which only renders for a visitor with no key at all, and this one still looks signed in on the anonymous token, deliberately. It now opens the sign-in page only for that visitor; everyone else still sees the explainer

    • The toolbar button now shows which account is signed in: a dot in that account's own colour, with the key's short code and balance in the tooltip
    • Redesigned settings page, with an account card showing the same mark metager.de draws for the same key, a light and a dark theme, and controls that can be reached with the keyboard
    • You can log out from the settings page. With anonymous tokens switched on there was nowhere to log out at all
    • Logging out on the MetaGer website now logs you out here as well.
    • MetaGer's account button opens these settings while it reads "signed in anonymously": the website cannot show that account, only this extension can
    • Fix changing a search setting on MetaGer appearing to do nothing — switching an engine only jumped to its heading, and saving a blacklist had no visible effect
    • Fix the last entry deleted from a blacklist coming back on the next page load
    • The MetaGer key is no longer sent to the search settings page: it does not need it any more, and every request carrying the key is one that could be tied to you
    • A key is shown with six characters instead of four, the same short form metager.de uses
    • "Charge" is now called "Balance" in the key tables

    The previous use of anonymous tokens was error-prone and slow, as encryption was performed during usage. Additionally, new features required new processes to handle anonymous tokens on the server side. This update moves the cryptographic operations to background tasks. The extension now uses anonymous tokens to create temporary MetaGer keys with no connection to the main key. These keys are exchanged regularly and used for authorization. Anonymity is preserved, but performance is now significantly faster and more stable.
