AI Quota Watcher Autor: Mountainfields

AI Quota Watcher is a Firefox extension for monitoring usage, limits, reset times, and estimated tokens for Google Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude in the popup, Firefox sidebar, or an optional floating overlay.

The extension combines the most important usage information from all three AI services in one interface. It automatically detects the currently active provider and displays the available quotas, usage windows, and reset times.

For Gemini, the extension reads the official usage values displayed by Google. Available usage windows, percentages, and reset times are presented in a clear overview.


ChatGPT does not provide a complete official usage dashboard for every plan. AI Quota Watcher therefore keeps local counters for supported ChatGPT requests and assigns them to the detected model and usage window.

The displayed ChatGPT usage is a local estimate and may differ from the actual server-side limits.


For Claude, the extension displays the usage information available for the signed-in account, including supported usage windows, current values, and reset times.


The optional token counter estimates the number of tokens in the current Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude conversation based on the visible text.

The estimate is calculated locally and is intended only as a guide. It is not an official token count or billing value from Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic.


Usage information can be displayed in three locations:

• extension popup
• Firefox sidebar
• floating overlay directly on Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude

The overlay can be moved and resized. Its position and size are stored locally.


AI Quota Watcher works locally in the Firefox profile.

The extension:

• does not send usage data to its own servers
• does not use external tracking
• does not display advertising
• does not sell or share personal data
• does not export cookies, session tokens, or login credentials

Local counters and settings can optionally be exported to a JSON backup file and restored later.
