Chess Notation Helper brings standard algebraic chess notation (SAN) to life directly on your board, no more switching back and forth between moves and notation. As you play on Chess.com or Lichess.org, this extension automatically:
Detects each move in real time via a lightweight MutationObserver
Highlights the destination square with a subtle overlay grid
Displays the SAN (e.g. Nf3, exd5, O-O) on that square for 2 seconds, then fades out
Handles castling, pawn promotions, captures and disambiguations seamlessly
Because everything runs locally in your browser, no personal data is collected or transmitted.

New Features:
* Pause/Resume Highlighting: You can now temporarily pause and resume the square highlighting directly from the extension popup using the "Pause" / "Resume" button.
* Adjustable Highlight Duration: Control how long the notation stays on screen! Choose from 2, 3, 4, or 5 seconds in the new "Highlight Duration" dropdown in the popup.
* Persistent Settings: Your preferred pause state and highlight duration are now saved and will be remembered the next time you use the extension.
