Copy Cookies to Localhost helps developers test locally with a real authenticated session from staging or production.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Log in to your site in Firefox (normal or private window)
2. Click the extension icon
3. Click "Copy to localhost"
4. Open your local app at http://localhost:<port> — session cookies are available there

KEY FEATURES
• One-click copy — minimal popup with a single button
• Private browsing support — cookies are written to the correct cookie store in private windows (enable "Run in Private Windows" in extension settings)
• Override on repeat — copying again replaces localhost cookies with the latest values

WHAT DATA IS ACCESSED
This extension reads cookies from the active tab only when you click the button. Cookies are copied to http://localhost in your local browser cookie store. Nothing is sent to external servers. No analytics. No background collection.

PERMISSIONS
• cookies — read cookies from the current site and write them to localhost when you click copy
• tabs — identify the active tab and its URL
• all URLs — work on any site you are developing against

WHO IT'S FOR
Developers who run local apps (e.g. localhost:3000) and need the same session cookies as a remote environment without manual DevTools copy/paste.

LIMITATIONS
• Partitioned cookies may be skipped
• Safari Private Browsing is not supported (Safari platform limitation)
• You must enable "Run in Private Windows" for private browsing use
