Downloader Pro Integration - Privacy Policy

SUMMARY
This extension does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to us or
to any third party. It has no analytics, no telemetry and no remote server.
Everything it handles stays on your own computer.

WHAT THE EXTENSION ACCESSES
The extension is a bridge between your browser and the Downloader Pro desktop
application running on the same computer. To do that job it accesses:

• The address of the page you are viewing, and its title, so a download can be
  named sensibly and detected media can be linked to the right page.
• Network requests on pages you visit, in order to detect downloadable files
  and media. Requests are only observed; they are never blocked, redirected or
  modified.
• Cookies for the specific file you choose to download, so that files behind a
  login download correctly rather than failing.
• The request headers your browser used for that file, so the desktop app can
  reproduce the same request.

WHERE THAT INFORMATION GOES
Only to the Downloader Pro desktop application on your own machine, over a
local connection to 127.0.0.1 (localhost). This traffic never leaves your
computer. It is not sent to us, to Zylio, or to any third party, and it is not
shared, sold or used for advertising.

WHAT IS STORED
The extension stores a small amount of configuration on your computer using
the browser's local storage: the port number the desktop app is listening on,
the pairing token used to talk to it, and your own on/off preferences. No
browsing history and no page content is stored.

WHEN THE EXTENSION ACTS
Cookies and headers are read only for a download you actively start - by
clicking the extension's download button, using its right-click menu, or
enabling the option to hand browser downloads to the app. The extension does
not read or transmit this information in the background.

PERMISSIONS
The extension requests access to all sites because you may choose to download
from any website, and it must be able to detect content and read the matching
request headers wherever you are. Broad access is required for that to work on
arbitrary sites; it is not used to monitor your browsing.

CHILDREN
The extension is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It
collects no personal information from anyone.

CHANGES
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published with the
extension listing and the date above will be revised.
