The extension does have the option to disable caching of JavaScript from selected hosts (https://addons.mozilla.org/user-media/previews/full/244/244875.png), but if you find it unreliable, there is an internal option:

Open the Developer Tools, change to the Network panel, and check the box for Disable Cache. You can undock the Dev Tools to a separate window while you work so you have use of the full height of the tab.

Regrettably, appears to do nothing at all, leaving FF still as the only major browser it is literally impossible to do javascript development on.

While not updated in a while, this add-on still works perfectly with 102esr. This add-on is worth its weight in gold for tweaking CSS. Mozilla really should provide an about:config setting to force cache refresh. Until then, this add-on is perfect for the job. It goes one better by allowing per-domain cache control. Very nice.

Does the job. I was getting fed up with FF just ignoring the "disable cache" feature in "Network" developer tools.
