Time Tracker Pro is designed to be a private, local-first application. All data generated by the extension is stored exclusively on your local computer using the secure storage provided by your web browser (chrome.storage.local API).

We do not have a server. We cannot access, view, or copy your data. It never leaves your device.
2. What Data We Collect (Locally)

To provide you with insights into your browsing habits, the extension needs to save the following information on your computer:

Browsing Activity Data:

The domain name of the websites you visit (e.g., google.com).

The total time spent on each domain.

The number of visits (sessions) to each domain.

The URL of the website's favicon (the small icon for the site).

User-Generated Data:

Your personal extension settings, such as the daily time limit, theme preference (light/dark mode), and your list of "Productive" websites.


1. What Data We DO NOT Collect

To be perfectly clear, we never collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Your full browsing history (we only store the domain, not the specific pages you visit).

Any personally identifiable information (PII) like your name, email address, or IP address.

Any data you enter into forms, such as usernames, passwords, or financial information.

Any activity from incognito or private browsing modes.

The data stored on your computer is used exclusively for the core functionality of Time Tracker Pro, which includes:

Displaying your time usage and visit counts to you within the extension's dashboard.

Calculating statistics based on your local data.

Applying your personal settings to the extension's behavior and appearance.


Your data is not used for any other purpose, such as advertising, analytics, or tracking.
5. Data Security & Control

You are in complete control of your data. Because it is stored locally on your machine, you can clear it at any time:

By using the "Reset Data" button in the extension's settings.

By uninstalling the extension, which will permanently delete all of its associated data.


1. Third-Party Services

Time Tracker Pro does not use any third-party services, analytics, or advertising frameworks. The code is self-contained and does not make any external network requests other than to fetch website favicons, which is a standard browser behavior.
