I use Firefox Nightly 62 64 bit on my Windows 10 April 2018 laptop. And I can't get CleanUrl 1.2.2.8 to work in privacy browsing. The icon shows up but... in the drop down menu I try to flip a switch on it flips but as soon as I... close the drop down menu the switch flips off and it does this every time, Also all the text below the name and version does not show up at all. And the Oops something went wrong button! shows up And this only happens when I'm in privacy browsing in non privacy browsing CleanUrl 1.2.2.8 works just fine. Thank you

Thanks for your positive feedback.
Unfortunately, this is a well-known bug of the WebExtensions API that we have no control over. We would have to rewrite the entire addon, so that the pop-up window is also displayed in private mode. But the addon still filter in private mode the URLs correctly, it just can not be displayed. Please also see the official Bugreport from Mozilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1329304

This "bug" annoys a lot of developers of addons, because it is an unnecessary limitation of Mozilla, which makes it very difficult for the developers to develop their addons. We may eventually rewrite the addon and try to work around that limitation. But that means very much work for us, for which we first have to find time.

EDIT: ClearURLs works in version 1.5a also in the private mode (Incognito).

It's pretty good, but I'd like it to clean ?curator_clanid=xxx from Steam links as well which it currently does not do.

Interferes heavily with google maps site on FF for Android. Website doesn't stop reloading.

Cannot log into NHS.UK with this on, it blocks access. Really poor and potentially dangerous.

The extension is causing the Google AI Mode to be unusable. I hope there will be an update!

It breaks google AI mode, so I have to remove it in search for better alternative. If you don't need google's AI features it could be great though.

Breaks Amazon reviews, I can never get past page one. I suspect this has been causing problems on other sites I've been having frustrating problems with, but I'd forgotten about this add on. Disabling for now, will check on again someday.

Great, it cleans the links nicely! (If you click on something, e.g. a page that opens in a new tab, it appears clean, i.e. without tracking and other codes : )
If the privacy parts* are true (and in principle they are, otherwise it wouldn't be here : )
then it's a great plugin.
Google / chromium removed it in a mean way, but there "Linkumori (URLs Cleaner) - formerly Neat URL" solves this or you can install it manually: github ClearURLs/Addon/releases

Remek, szépen tisztítja a hivatkozásokat! (Ha rákattintasz valamire, pl. új fülön megnyíló oldal, akkor az tisztán, tehát követési és egyéb kódok nélkül jelenik meg : )
Ha az adatvédelmi részek* igazak (és elvileg igen, különben nem lehetne itt : )
akkor remek plugin.
Google / chromium a cég aljas módon eltávolította, de ott a "Linkumori (URLs Cleaner) - formerly Neat URL" oldja meg ez vagy manuálisan telepítheted: github ClearURLs/Addon/releases

Breaks the Google AI Overview answer. If you can't see it or get a "Can't generate an AI overview right now. Try again later." message, it's probably because of this add-on.
