Love this addon but the last few releases have been broken for me, when I click the icon its blank and crashes the browser. I had to go back to to version 8.0.3.1 to get it working again. Firefox 58.0.1 Windows 10

I love Ghostery I've been using it since 2010 and loved it ever since.

Firefox 48.0.2, Windows 7
Ghostery
8.0.5.1 - doesn't work
8.0.4.4 - doesn't work
8.0.3.1 - works

After installing a new version, the Ghostery icon is not active. After clicking on it nothing happens - the Ghostery window is not displayed.
Does this mean that you have stopped supporting older versions of Firefox?

I have the same issue as Наско, unstyled page flashes before CSS loads.

Firefox 58, Ghostery 8.0.5.1, Mac OS High Sierra, no other addons installed, default Firefox settings.

Perfect complement with Ad-block.

Ghostery works well, but sometimes it stops working for me. The ghost turns from blue to grey, stops working, and I can't even click on it to fix it. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks.

This kind of addon is really what I hate. They claim to defend users by blocking trackers but their business model is actually selling your data to that very companies they claim to protect you from.

It's like Adblock plus. They get payed by advertisers to set them on the whitelist, that they of course enable by default because they know the general user will not touch that setting.

Firefox has its own track blocker build in, you can now enable it always on. I additional use ad-nauseam with some tracking filters enabled. It may be counter productive because ad-nauseam actually can click every ad for you in the background to generate false clicks and make them pay more money so they may be able to track you better but I just love that concept.

Replying to the dev below:
1. User data - tracker data. tomatos tomatos.
2. OK how are you making money now? I will not read that article. You are absolutely untrustworthy because you had a parent company like that in the first place. And probably doing some other new shady stuff.

So far this extension has been working very good. I have not noticed any changes in the speed of pages loading. Very informative as well. I am liking this extension more and more!!!

The latest interface took away a lot of easy functionality and quick access. It looks prettier but less useful. It also causes a lot of problems on a number of sites that the older versions of Ghostery had no issue with. Like blocking audio, comments etc. No matter if I uncheck everything, the only way they work is to disable Ghostery or set the site as trusted.
