Privacy Policy

AI Page Assistant is a bring-your-own-key Firefox extension.

## What data is used

When you explicitly run a workflow such as Ask Page, TL;DR, Explain Selection, or another page analysis action, the extension may send the following data to the Google Gemini API:

• The current page URL
• Extracted page text and page structure needed to answer your request
• Selected text, if you use a selection-based workflow
• The question or instruction you type into the extension

The extension stores the following locally in your browser using Firefox extension storage:

• Your Gemini API key
• Page-specific chat history
• Saved notes
• Local extension preferences

## What data is not collected by the developer

The developer of AI Page Assistant does not operate a backend server for this extension and does not directly receive your prompts, page content, API key, or notes.

## Third-party service

Requests are sent directly from your browser to Google Gemini when you use the extension. Your use of Gemini is also subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.

## User control

The extension only sends data when you explicitly use it. If you do not want page content sent to Gemini, do not run a workflow on that page and do not provide an API key.

You can remove your locally stored data by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension's stored settings in Firefox.
