cannot log into the extension after logging out of it. As the extension automatically quits immediately after clicking on it. Please help as I always have to keep it logged in which can compromise the security

Unfortunately this is a bug in Firefox itself that we cannot fix. See here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1405634
