Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how the Das Payments Chrome Extension ("the Extension") handles your information and ensures that your data is used responsibly and securely.
Information We Collect
The Extension only collects non-sensitive information directly from the active EMR page to enable seamless integration with Das Payments. The information we access includes:
Patient ID: Used to associate EMR patients with saved customers in Das Payments.
Patient Name, Email, Phone Number: Basic contact details required for identifying patients and facilitating payment processing.
Payment Amount: Used to process transactions securely.
Authorization Message: Generated after a transaction and automatically updated in the EMR.
We do not collect, store, or transmit sensitive data, such as credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, or medical records.
How We Use the Information
The information accessed by the Extension is used solely for the following purposes:
Automating payment workflows by mapping EMR fields to Das Payments.
Processing payments in a secure, PCI-compliant environment.
Automatically pasting the payment authorization message back into the appropriate EMR field.
No data is transmitted to third parties or stored outside the user's browser environment.
Data Security
All payment processing occurs in a secure, PCI-compliant environment hosted by Das Payments. The Extension does not store any sensitive payment data in the browser or transmit it to external servers. Information accessed by the Extension is only used temporarily during user-initiated actions.
Permissions Justification
The following permissions are required to enable the Extension's functionality:
Host Permissions: To access supported EMR platforms (e.g., NextGen, ModMed, WebPT) and the Das Payments platform (app.daspayusa.com).
Active Tab: To interact with the currently active EMR page during user-initiated actions.
Storage: To save field mappings and user preferences locally for convenience.
Web Navigation: To detect EMR page navigation and apply mappings dynamically.
