A nice to have that helps you avoid scams but emphasis on "helps". It's just one tool but not a replacement for doing your own research. You can't rely on it alone.
Really nice to know this extension is now owned by Mozilla but they need to put the "Recommended" seal next to it if Mozilla wants to show they have faith in it.

works great, wish i'd been using this ages ago. the one star reviews are either blatantly wrong (it 100% does work with adblock lmao) or paranoid about Mozilla collecting their data, which is hilariously silly when you consider how many people trust Google Chrome

This stops you from having to go through loads of "Top 10 Best PRODUCT" blog posts (which are all just more paid advertisements let's be real) to find which of the product I want to buy. I can just go on Amazon and trust that the reviews that are legit based on Fakespot's ratings. Their summary page is very useful.
