Apparently it also counts the archived ones, I went to the settings assuming this is just a bad default and could be changed, what I saw was millions of settings in a big page, I had to spend an hour reading the list of available settings to find out which one is relevant. I mean why does a simple thing like this has to be so over-complicated? An icon which is just supposed to show a number doesn't have to be as complicated as an operating system. I wish there was a minimal version of this as well. Less is more.
