Ich habe es dir bereits erklärt: Dieses Add-on fragt ausschließlich technisch notwendige Berechtigungen verpflichtend an und sämtliche Berechtigungen sind in der Beschreibung des Add-ons dokumentiert. Ich biete hier volle Transparenz und es gibt keinen Anlass, mich dafür schlecht zu bewerten. Wenn du Fragen zu den Berechtigungen hast oder nicht verstehst, wieso welche Berechtigung verlangt wird, gibt es viele Wege, über die du mich kontaktieren kannst. Dann erkläre ich dir das gerne. Aber Unterstellungen, selbst angedeutete, sind nicht okay.

Zum anderen: Diese Erweiterung hat knapp 70.000 Nutzer und du bist der erste und einzige, der behauptet, die Erweiterung würde gar nicht funktionieren. Auch hier: Kontaktiere mich, wenn du Hilfe brauchst. Gib nicht einfach eine schlechte Bewertung, nur weil du ein Problem mit der Erweiterung hast. Dass die Erweiterung funktioniert, weiß ich ganz genau. Und das beweisen ja auch die anderen Reviews. Aber Bewertungen hier auf der Seite sind kein geeigneter Ort für Support. Support biete ich kostenlos an, nimm das Angebot gerne an.

Great extension. Does exactly what it is supposed to do without loads of unnecessary settings. I hope mozilla fixes the "select url"-issue.

It worked for about 10 mins (with google.com as new page) and then is stopped, leaving me back in the FF default home page. Maybe they'll fix it, idk.
Edit: Didn't change anything on the system. I fiddled with it for quite some time after. Also asked ChatGPT, ruled out AdBlockers, still could not work it out. Sorry but this shouldn't take more then a few minutes to set up. May FF is blocking it in some way.

I don't understand this poor rating. If the extension worked at first, then it can't be the extension's fault if it no longer works. You must have changed something on your system. The extension doesn't stop working on its own.

Generally works very well, but the settings link on the tools dropdown list doesn't work

edit :
go to the menu bar, click Tools
at the bottom of the list is "New Tab - Settings"
when I click on it, nothing happens

Close to perfect. I just wish it would highlight the address in the URL bar when making a new tab (google). I just want to start typing in the URL bar and currently it types before the current URL and doesn't replace it. I have to manually highlight the URL then start typing. Switching it to focus on the website is ok but it doesn't work with google to type a web address, it always just searches for it on google.

Unlike the "Custom New Tab Page" extension that hasn't been updated in 5 years. This extension actually does what it says. Was able to set google to new tab with this extension.

It was working fine. But, no longer. I have chosen custom URL (https ://www google com /advanced_search). It doesn't go there upon opening new tab.
It may have been updating firefox to 136.0.4. (spaces added to URL - review does not allow otherwise)

EDIT: Okay, now I got it work. I had to uninstall it and re-install. Something Firefox did somewhere broke it, but I can't say what. I certainly never touched it.

Thanks for the review.

It was a feature in „vanilla Firefox“ in the past, but it was abused by bad players and therefore Mozilla was forced to remove the option. But at the same time they gave extension developers the ability. So we have to be thankful to Mozilla.
