This way you wont end up accidentally double vpning yourself. I know that you can set up the tunneling feature on the app or vice versa but sometimes as a result of updating or if you have to do a system restore you lose the setup you created and may end up wondering why your connection is slow all of sudden just to realize you have to re-construct your tunnel setting on the app. However there may be some sort of privacy concerns over setting the extension/app up to do that, or it may simply be impossible. Otherwise the extension is great.
