SocialCleaner — Rvier.fr

A Firefox extension (Manifest V3) to bulk-delete your own posts on X (Twitter) and LinkedIn.

It works by driving the site's own UI from a content script: opening each post's menu, clicking Delete, confirming: with randomized delays, batch pauses and exponential backoff to stay gentle on the platforms. No API keys, no credentials: it only automates clicks in a tab where you are already logged in.

⚠ Deletion is irreversible. There is no undo. Consider requesting an archive of your data from X / LinkedIn before running it.

⚠ Automating the UI may conflict with the platforms' terms of service. Use at your own risk; aggressive delays may get your account rate-limited.

1. Install the extension (see below).
2. Navigate to the page listing what you want to delete, then open the popup and start:

X (Twitter): go to your profile on x.com, run once per tab:
- Posts / Replies: deletes tweets and replies (retweets are un-retweeted)
- Media: deletes media posts (grid or feed layout)
- Likes: unlikes liked tweets

LinkedIn: go to your activity page, run once per tab:
- linkedin.com/in/<you>/recent-activity/all/: posts
- .../recent-activity/shares/: reposts
- .../recent-activity/comments/: comments
3. Keep the tab open and visible while it runs. Use Stop in the popup to abort at any time.

Posts that cannot be deleted (someone else's tweet appearing in your Replies tab, for example) are skipped automatically. If a deletion silently fails (rate limit), the extension backs off exponentially and retries before giving up.
