TeamPrompt is a SaaS browser extension that provides AI data loss prevention (DLP) and shared prompt management for teams using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity.

What the extension does:
- Scans text in AI chat interfaces for sensitive data (PII, credentials, etc.) before it's sent
- Provides a shared prompt library accessible via sidebar/popup
- Injects a floating toolbar on supported AI sites for quick prompt access

Permissions explained:
- activeTab — to read/scan text on AI chat pages only (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity)
- storage — to cache user session and preferences locally
- alarms — for periodic session refresh
- contextMenus — right-click "Insert prompt" option
- host_permissions — limited to the 5 AI chat sites + teamprompt.app for authentication

No data collection:
- All DLP scanning happens in real-time against org-configured rules — no user input is stored or transmitted beyond what's needed for the scan API call
- No analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts
