1) What this add-on does

KeyBid inserts a small informational panel on public real-estate listing pages on Idealista. From the page, it reads the public values (price, area, number of rooms, textual location) and locally calculates indicative nightly rates, income and ROI for short-term rentals. The panel is purely visual and does not modify the original page content.

2) Data we access locally (on your device)

Website content (public): price, area, rooms, and textual location/zone that already appear on the listing page.

Current page URL: used only to identify the listing for calculation and (optionally) when you choose to generate a report.

We do not access other tabs, do not collect browsing history, do not identify you, and do not read messages or account pages.

3) Data we transmit off your device

Nothing is sent automatically.

Only when you click “Generate Report” we send the public listing values + the listing URL to keybid.ro over HTTPS to (a) calibrate the estimate and (b) optionally generate a downloadable PDF investment report / checkout.

We do not send third-party site cookies, authentication tokens, or personal data.

Mozilla data-consent mapping (manifest):

websiteContent and browsingActivity — required, but used only on your explicit action (“Generate Report”).
No other categories are collected.

4) Local storage we use (storage.local)

We store a few lightweight preferences without any identifiers:

hidePanel (boolean) — whether you chose to hide the panel

lastCity (string) — last selected city for estimates

lastDismissedAt (timestamp) — when the panel was dismissed

consent (boolean) — whether you consented to panel display

These settings exist only to keep your UI consistent. They are not synced to any server and contain no personal data. You can clear them from the add-on page or by removing the add-on.

5) Permissions (Firefox)

Host permissions: https://.idealista.com/ (read-only on listing and detail pages)

We do not request activeTab, scripting, or broad host permissions.

No persistent background script; the content script runs only on matching listing pages.

6) What we do not do

No sale of data.

No ads, trackers, or fingerprinting.

No reading of emails, messages, or account/private pages.

No persistent modification of websites (only a temporary visual panel that we inject).

7) Retention & deletion

Local settings: remain on your device until you clear them or uninstall the add-on.

Report generation: the transmitted public listing values are used to compute your PDF/checkout. We do not add personal identifiers to these requests.

8) Security

All optional transmissions are over HTTPS.

Minimal data surface and least-privilege permissions.

9) Children’s privacy

This add-on is intended for adults involved in property analysis and is not directed to children.
