    I got an ad blocker to remove constant pestering and distractions from companies. The fact that this ad blocker constantly opens a new tab that makes me sometimes lose what I was looking at in my many tabs is astounding. At the rate it happens, I'm starting to feel like this ad blocker is, ironically, adware. I'm not against them asking donations, but to do so in such a obtrusive way defeats the purpose of the extension. Please find another way to ask, or severely reduce the frequency that these tabs show up.

    Hi, Thanks for your feedback. We currently show the contribution page when we update the extension to give our non-Premium users an opportunity to support AdBlock. We don't track who has previously paid unless the extension is updated to Premium. There is no obligation to pay, and you're welcome to close the page.     For people who's mission is "is to create a worry-free and distraction-free internet" they do like to distract you by interrupting whatever you are doing to ask for a donation. This seems to happen about every 4th time I open firefox, usually a few minutes into the session - so just as I am starting to type or interact with something.
    On the plus side it does stop ads, so if you can cope with the relentless demands for a contribution for this "free" add-on this may be for you....

    Sadly this no longer works on many sites, not just YT, I suggest you search up a better adblock add on. I used this one for years with no problem but within the last few weeks this no longer works sadly.

    That is the only reason I deleted my original feedback from years ago as this was the go to.

    Before someone from the company suggests I try settings, I did that after this first failed to work and nothing they suggested worked.
