There is no submit button to change the speed value, enter does not do anything. You should correct this asap since it makes the extension pretty useless.
Scrolling speed is changed when focus is move to other. So the change is committed when you click other elements. In version 1.5.9, the bugs I found are fixed. Maybe works in your env.
