hey there, i know things are limited now but i have a feature request. i have * set so all links open in new tab. i was wondering if these could be implemented.
options
1) white icon
2) open in background
3) open at end of tabs

Hi,

I spent some time on your suggestions and for possible workarounds if available

1. white icon - It is not difficult to have the user select a white background in the icon from settings. I have created a issue on my github repository to keep a track on this.

2. open in background - There are two ways for this -

a. "Bad" Workaround - Overriding a browser configuration in about:config - You can change the browser behavior to open all links which open in a new tab in the background by setting the
"browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground" config to true.

b. Using the "tabs" API of webextensions - This would require an almost complete rewrite of the extension and can break a number of websites. I would like to use the tabs API but it will take a long time to iron out all the bugs and release it.

3. open at the end of tabs - This is also possible using the tabs API and as I said in 2(b), it will take a long time for me to have this feature.

    it does work, you have to turn it on for a website for it to work (which i like because some websites have a weird thing where you have to open the link on the page and its like a popup)

    Great idea but it seems to be expired 5 years ago (last updated). As it said before - NOT WORKING.

    2017 review: Works pretty well, except it seems for "stuff.co.nz" where it tends to open links in same tab most of the time, but sometimes does open in a new tab. Confused? So am I! Maybe a Firefox bug involved?
    Above is still the case in December 2021 [& Dec22] ... has this Add-on been abandoned by Ramkumar K R?

    This app "works only when it wants to" is the only way to describe my experience. Firefox 69.0.1 6 bit. It's very disappointing to search duckduckgo and have the link open in the same tab unless I go back and select the link again. This is a waste of time. I'm looking for an app that will work every time and will allow options on how tabs should open. BOTTOM LINE: This app isn't as advertised.

    Works pretty well exept on some Mozilla pages, author could explain how to use the extension a little better. Would get higher ratings if (s)he did so.

    Doesn't work with Firefox 63.0.3. New tabs still opened on the far right side.

    Didn't work, even when I moved the button for the specified site. Just tooo fiddly. Seems a no-brainer to me that all bookmarks should open in a new tab as standard. Who wants to leave a site you're on to look at another site, maybe for reference. Firefox note. Now I've learned to right click, job done.
