Privacy Policy for SnippAI

1. Data Collection & Persistence: SnippAI locally processes the URL, page title, and user-selected text ("snippets") of the active tab strictly to provide its core research and organization features. All collected data is stored locally on the user's device via chrome.storage.local.
2. Third-Party Data Transmission: SnippAI does not track users or sell data. Data is only transmitted to third-party services in the following user-initiated scenarios:
3. AI Analysis: If configured, selected snippets are sent via API to OpenAI to generate summaries. This requires the user's own API key.
4. Webhooks: If configured, snippets are sent to user-defined webhook URLs (e.g., n8n, Slack).
5. Data Control: Users have full control over their data. Deleting a snippet or uninstalling the extension permanently removes all locally stored data.
