Core philosophy: Your data belongs to you. TrueLayr is designed from the ground up to keep your data local, private, and entirely under your control.
1. Introduction
TrueLayr ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension and associated desktop applications handle your data.

1. Data Collection and Storage (Local Processing)
   TrueLayr is designed to function locally. When you use TrueLayr to capture DOM snapshots or create requirement layers (UX, UI, technical, compliance), all processing happens directly on your local device.

No Server Storage: We do not transmit, collect, or store your DOM snapshots, requirement overlays, or browsing history on our servers.
Local Data: All visual and technical data generated by TrueLayr is saved locally to your machine.
3. Cloud Syncing (Third-Party Services)
TrueLayr may offer the ability to sync your data using your own personal or enterprise cloud storage services (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, AWS).

When you authorise these connections, the data is transferred directly between your local device and your chosen cloud provider.
TrueLayr does not intercept, process, or store this synced data on our own servers. Your relationship with those cloud providers is governed by their respective privacy policies.
4. Chrome Web Store Disclosures
To comply with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, we explicitly disclose the following regarding user data:

We do not sell your data to third parties.
We do not use or transfer your data for purposes that are unrelated to the core functionality of the TrueLayr extension.
We do not use or transfer your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
5. Analytics and Diagnostics
We do not use invasive tracking. If we implement basic, anonymised error tracking in the future to improve the app's stability, it will strictly exclude any webpage content, DOM data, or user-generated text — and you will have the option to opt-out.
