When using the IME to input Japanese text in the sticky note input field, the text is not displayed correctly.

Examples:
* Typing "a" displays "あ" correctly.
* Typing "i" displays "い" correctly.
* Typing "u" displays "う" correctly.
* Typing "e" displays "え" correctly.
* Typing "o" displays "お" correctly.
* Typing "ka" should display "か", but displays "kあ".
* Typing "ki" should display "き", but displays "kい".
* Typing "ku" should display "く", but displays "kう".
* Typing "ke" should display "け", but displays "kえ".
* Typing "ko" should display "こ", but displays "kお".

This extension appears to be capturing raw keyboard events while the IME's synthesis process is still in progress.

In Japanese, characters are formed by combining multiple keys, so the Roman character (k) used for Japanese conversion is inserted along with the final Japanese character.
This problem occurs when using a Japanese IME, but the same phenomenon may occur with Chinese or Korean IMEs as well.
This extension seems to require proper handling of IME composition events (compositionstart / compositionend) rather than relying solely on key events.

Great extension, but it’s missing a few useful features:

1. An option to create a note from selected text via the context menu.

2. A plain text mode.

3. The ability to set the global notes view as the default.

4. Sometimes when I paste text from a webpage and then delete everything in the note, it doesn't get removed and stays in the list as an empty note. This might be caused by invisible characters copied from webpages.

Overall, very useful extension, but these additions would make it much better.

BUG: The textarea for writing the notes refreshes like each 500ms - the cursor always jump to the beginning of the textarea making it imposible to write.

Otherwise the extension looks great, just can't use it with this bug...

Just discovered this today. Just what I've been looking for after the end of omnivore app site about a year ago.
However, it's missing a crucial feature: ability to add tags to your notes & ability to search via tags. Examples of tags: #science, #people, #coding. etc.
Please add something like that.

Surely a very useful extension and a great idea. However, I can't see the (green or whatever colour it is) notification either on the page where I left one, nor in the toolbar (there is no extension icon). Without it, it is unfortunately worthless, at least for me.

In addition, I can see the possibility of adding a note only with the keyboard shortcut; there is nothing in the right-click menu, and there is no tool on the toolbar. Perhaps something is wrong with my settings, but I can't figure out what. This leads us to one suggestion, if I may: there are so many things to configure, which is nice, but when users search for basic functionalities, too many other settings are a distraction.

Notefox doesn't work on all websites (especially it even is impossible to create a "Sticky note" - the colored PopUp - on addons.mozilla.org, but it also doesn't work on mastodon.social)...

Edit:
1) Title is visible and editable - right.
2) Posting makes FF ask for a further permission,... but that's kinda unnecessary, since this 'posting' should occur anyway, so why isn't the permission added to all the others asked for while installing the AddOn...?

Reminds me on an old FF Extension (a pre-web-extension-AddOn called "Sticky Notes")

Keeps refreshing... I can't write anything most of the time. And it happens after its been working for a while, and then suddenly the text cursor thingy goes to the very start making me unable to write anything at all.

Excellent extension! It would be perfect if it allowed notes to be saved locally.

Uso Notefox dal giorno della sua pubblicazione, estensione a me molto utile.
Purtoppo recentemente si sono verificati molti crash di Firefox apparentemente dovuti a Notefox, in particolare su Windows 10. Ultimamente si è rilevato che i crash erano causati da Firefox ed il bug è stato corretto da Mozilla in Bugzilla dove lo stato risulta "risolto".

Complimenti allo sviluppatore ed a tutti quelli che hanno contribuito a risolvere questo problema 5 stelle è tutto meritato per questa estensione.

I have been using Notefox since the day it was released, and I find it very useful.

Unfortunately, there have been many Firefox crashes recently, apparently due to Notefox, particularly on Windows 10. It has recently been discovered that the crashes were caused by Firefox, and the bug has been fixed by Mozilla in Bugzilla, where the status is now “resolved.”

Congratulations to the developer and everyone who contributed to solving this problem. This extension deserves 5 stars.
