    I used to use this, and it served me well. Not only did it block ads, it let me choose annoying elements, like the spaces where ads were, to block entirely.

    Sadly, since I let Firefox install the 100.0 iteration, Adblock Plus does basically NOTHING. Well, OK, it lets me install it, but does nothing afterward. Since there's no "Contact us" for ABP, I can't even tell 'em their addon is broken.

    So, maybe they'll eventually realize the problem, and if they fix it, I'll revise this review. For now, however, it gets one star. I'd give it NO stars if I could.

    Thanks for contacting us! After some research, we've found that some users are experiencing ads due to "always use private mode" enabled. Try disabling this option and let us know if you still have issues. To do this, click the settings menu icon in the right corner of the browser > settings >privacy & security > scroll down to the history section > choose "Use custom settings for history" from the drop down menu > uncheck "always use private browsing mode".     I recommend everyone to avoid this add-on or remove it if you have installed it. Was great for the 2 or so years that I had it, until my browser was hijacked. Removed Adblock Plus and the hijacker disappeared. There's definitely some shady business going on with this add-on.

    hmmm. That sounds quite odd. I assure you , we are not in the hijacking business at all. In fact we are on the exact opposite side of that business. We would be happy to investigate further, there are also a few copy cats out there. Either way, if you wish to isolate further we would be happy to assist.     Doesn't block everything anymore and some sites are so filled with new tab popups that they are unusable

    It doesn't work on Dailymotion and Pandora. The ads on Dailymotion are getting ridiculous. I can't watch the video very well because the ads have video and it's so loud and I can't hear the video I was watching. Please update the add-on so the ads will no longer interfere.

    Fake adblocker. According to my research, it will collect personal info and it has accepted money to authorise some adds. You can now make your own thoughts.

    There seems to be some misunderstandings about our Acceptable Ads Initiative. Users are still in control, and can disable “allow acceptable ads” in options. If you still experience ads with this option disabled, please be advised that these are more than likely NOT Acceptable Ads. In these cases please send us the URL along with a screenshot of your subscribed filter lists to support@adblockplus.org. We are usually able to get these reported to the filter list team and resolved. Rest assured no company can pay us to have their ads shown. Publishers have to meet the criteria set by the Acceptable Ads Committee before being considered. Most companies actually pay us nothing at all.     given up trying to install this. It keeps telling me I need to use Firefox which is exactly what I’m doing. Then it says you need to complete the installation, but I have no idea what to do, Firefox is installed and has been for days. So I think I’m going back to Brave browser, this has really pissed me off

    Once the greatest ad blocker. Now an unreliable product which decides that certain ads would be "acceptable" (if the ABP publisher gets his share, I guess...)
    It also became unusable with Mozilla Firefox, ABP building up overtime some stupid amount of resource usage and messing up with the whole computer. There goes the rating down the drain. I'll be using alternatives from now on, I read excellent things on ublock origin,for example...

    With this add-on enabled, I find Firefox regularly consumes a large amount of memory and CPU resources, requiring me to kill the browser to recover the use of the machine. Disabling the add-on fixes the problem. I uninstalled it and installed one of the alternatives and have not seen the problem since.
