NOVACAST Guard - Privacy Policy

NOVACAST Guard is designed to run locally. Detection of impersonation and phishing websites happens on your device. Your normal browsing is never transmitted to us.

Data we do NOT collect:
- We do not collect your browsing history.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party intelligence APIs.
- We do not require an account to use the extension.

Optional data you can choose to send:
- Reporting is OFF by default. If you turn on "Reporting" in the options, or press the "I was a victim" button on a flagged page, Guard sends ONLY the specific flagged URL and the local verdict (the detected technique and risk signals) to a NOVACAST server operated by DataEnforce, to improve detection. No data is sent for clean pages.
- Guard periodically downloads an updated detection list from NOVACAST. This is a download; it does not upload your data.

Storage:
- Settings and a local log of your own alerts are stored on your device using the browser's local storage. You can clear them at any time from the options page.
