Recently, YouTube changed things up and thwarted this app, but the developer responded quickly with an update (automatically installed, if you OK that). He or she (yes, one person apparently) says YouTube does this from time to time so don't freak out (as the one-star reviewers did) if the Download button below the video disappears for a few days--it will be back. Please consider making a contribution to the developer or purchase the paid version. The free version works fine; the paid version has a few more options on it and, of course, helps support the developer's work. In the time-honored shareware tradition.

Seems like all other higher MP4 formats have been removed which is a shame as I prefer downloading MP4 files with a higher bitrate without needing to be online or having an online presence for YouTube. Still my favourite video downloader extension though. Hope other formats will make a return shortly.
