What data we collect and why we collect it

Personal Information
You're not required to login to use the extension. The chatroom is anonymous. The screen name you choose to use will be broadcasted to everyone when you send a chat message.

Chat Messages
Your chat messages will be broadcasted to everyone in the chat room. The server will keep your chat messages for a duration of time as part of its normal operation. The server keeps only the 40 most recent messages in each chat room. Older messages are erased completely from the system.

URL Location
When you send a chat message, the URL of the current web page will be broadcasted to everyone in the chat room. Unless you send a chat message, your URL is not shared or sent anywhere.

IP Address and User Agent data
The server may use your anonymized IP address and User-Agent data for purpose of analytics, abuse management, and service improvement.

Issue Reporting and Contact Form
If you use the in-app report-issue function or use the contact form on our support website, your comments and information may be kept in our support database for a maximum of 6 months.

Extension Analytics
The extensions use Firefox Addon Store's built-in analytics. Firefox will collect basic extension usage data, including when the extension is installed, invoked, and uninstalled. The extension may also use its own counters to analyze usage patterns. This information is anonymized.
