Finally, a nicely done extension that won't reload tabs when cycling through them!! Wish I'd heard of it sooner! Thanks to the dev!!

Thanks for this extension, I was using "Tab Suspender Mini" that isn't bad either, but this one it's better. And thanks for being an active and thoughtful developer.

In the "General" tab at the bottom there's a button [Export] when I click in it it shows me where to save the export infos, with a name like this "sleepy-tabs-config-1775324806381.json", for example, but then the "download" always fail, I tried with Firefox (v147.0.4) + (v149.0), LibreWolf (v149.0-1), and even a clean profile for each of them all of that on two different computer's, unfortunately it always said "Failed" on the downloads, and the file's show for a split second on the folder where to save and then vanish, I hope this can explain it better, and sorry to be writing this here.

**You already can edit themes, right click on the custom theme you want to change and select Edit.**

Please fix the [Export] in the "General" tab, it's not working, at least for me.
Thanks for the option [Create Custom Theme], but please add the possibility to edit the new created ones, the Export/Import options are working just fine.

As a recent convert from Chrome, I was another one of those individuals looking for a replacement for the The Marvelous Suspender. Tried out a couple of the most popular options but found them to be rather barebones without allowing me to customize them as must as I would've liked. Then I saw a post on Reddit recommending this extension and decided to give it a try.

I'm very glad I did. This extension is much more feature-rich than the other ones I experimented with while also being supported by an active developer with ample documentation. In fact, it blows The Marvelous Suspender out of the water in terms of customization options and flexibility, so this might even be an upgrade. The UI takes a bit of time to get used to, but once you do it's not an issue.

Looks like I made the right decision to switch!

Still in active development as of February 2026 and developer seems responsive. should definately be at the top of the extension search and featured. Does exactly what it says on the tin with just about all the frills one could expect for a tab suspension extension.

A reduction of almost 2/3 of ram usage, for a tab hoarder like me (and was used to Edge sleeping tabs to save memory) this extension is just essential, great work!

It seems that Firefox really doesn't like us doing this to it. Most recent update breaks the sleeping tabs again, so they cannot be awoken or recovered if the browser is force-restarted by Ffx updates. That had been fixed previously, but seems to be back. Otherwise, good tool.

Hello developer.
After updated to v1.2.5, the tabs usually change position when it's waking, then I return to v1.2.3, runs well.
Today I update to v1.2.9, this issue still occurs.

This is useful extension for managing several, several tabs that can often use up a lot of processing power on even a Macbook Pro. I think the only challenge I've had with it is that the sleeping tab sometimes cannot recover what page it was on, so I get a "close tab" error that hampers my workflow. I've observed this when Firefox updates, but also sometimes seemingly at random, and possibly when the browser is reopened in general. Sometimes I can navigate backwards in the browser to get mostly back to where I was, but sometimes not. I use tabs to section off different parts of my work that occur at different times of the day, so they are almost never closed. I need them to help me remember a task I have to perform, but also to have everything at-hand if I have to interrupt my flow to jump to that tab group when not focusing on it. It would be ideal if the sleep mode was able to handle for this case more smoothly. Otherwise, it does exactly what's described. Thank you for making this extension.

Excelent. Works as expected. Good interface. In addition, you can add to the sidebar and enable settings sync.

My wishlist:

- Sleep pages before/after loading them

- Max allowed active tab.

- Max pages loading in parallel.

- Try having activated X/Y tabs at the LEFT/RIGHT of current one.
